狗狗絕對不能吃的 5 種食物
我們都希望狗狗健康快樂，但要抗拒把餐桌上的剩菜餵給毛孩的誘惑，確實不容易。偶爾給點特別的零食或許無傷大雅，但有幾種常見食物對狗狗來說相當危險。為了避免悲劇發生，請避開以下 5 種狗狗絕對不能吃的食物。

1. 洋蔥與大蒜
無論以何種形式出現，洋蔥和大蒜對狗狗都是絕對禁忌。這些食物可能會損害狗狗的紅血球，導致貧血。如果狗狗不小心吃到少量，通常應該不會有大礙。不過，反覆接觸這些食物可能會為牠帶來嚴重問題。若擔心狗狗吃下大量洋蔥或大蒜，請留意貧血症狀，包括虛弱、嘔吐、對食物失去興趣，以及呼吸困難。

2. 葡萄／葡萄乾
許多飼主會用葡萄和／或葡萄乾當作狗狗零食，但這些食物對寵物健康相當危險。雖然科學家尚未確定確切原因，但已知葡萄和葡萄乾會造成狗狗腎衰竭。即使是極少量也可能讓狗狗生病。為避免這種悲劇，請將葡萄和葡萄乾放在狗狗碰不到的地方。持續嘔吐是狗狗吃下這些食物的明確徵兆，並且在一天內，牠會變得無精打采、不像平常的樣子。若發現這些警訊，請立即就醫。
 
3. 糖果
許多種類的糖果和口香糖都使用一種名為木糖醇的成分來增添甜味。雖然人類可以安全食用這種成分，但它可能嚴重擾亂狗狗的身體系統。木糖醇會增加狗狗體內的胰島素量，進而造成血糖降低及肝衰竭。協調能力喪失、嘔吐和精神不振，都是狗狗食用木糖醇的早期警訊。牠也可能頻繁癲癇發作。若發現任何這些警訊，請立即帶牠去看獸醫。

4. 夏威夷豆
夏威夷豆可能對狗狗致命，絕對不應作為零食餵食。即使是極微量的這類堅果，也可能導致狗狗生病並使牠的身體中毒。夏威夷豆中毒的症狀包括肌肉顫抖、虛弱／癱瘓、嘔吐、發燒和心跳加快。若與巧克力一起食用，夏威夷豆會使症狀惡化，甚至可能導致死亡。請將這類堅果及所有含有它們的食物，妥善放在毛孩碰不到的地方。

5. 酪梨
酪梨含有柿樹素（persin），可能對狗狗有毒。雖然你可能喜歡吃酪梨醬，但狗狗的身體無法承受酪梨中這種物質的大量攝取。少量食用不太可能造成持續性的傷害，但仍建議讓狗狗遠離酪梨。如果你在家種植酪梨，請將其遠離狗狗玩耍的區域 – 除了果肉本身，種子、葉子和樹皮中也含有柿樹素。

雖然偶爾餵狗狗吃點特別的零食很誘人，但許多常見食物對狗狗都很危險。為了讓寵物健康快樂，請避免餵牠吃這五種危險食物。

    You didn't say what the symptoms are for ingesting avocados (persin). Please advise

    Hi DC,
    Some symptoms from ingesting avocados can include: stomach upsets, nasal congestion, breathing difficulties, vomiting, diarrhea and in very serious cases fluid build up around the heart.     I had no idea that avocado was harmful. My girls love the tiny bites that I occasionally give them. My poodle has become sensitive to anything fatty, so I have stopped giving her any treat that has a fat content to it, even peanut butter. Well, absolutely no more avocado.
