屬於你的迷你黑豹：孟買貓

擁有烏黑亮澤的緞面毛色、結實修長的身軀與一雙大大的銅色眼睛，難怪外型出眾的孟買貓常被稱為「迷你黑豹」。如果你不會因為與黑貓相關的迷信而卻步，那麼孟買貓或許正是家中最完美的新成員。

貓咪繁育者 Nikki Horner 最初將緬甸貓與美國短毛貓交配培育出孟買貓，希望創造出外型宛如野生黑豹的家貓。孟買貓與緬甸貓血緣相近，但牠們體型更大，四肢和身軀也更修長。

這些好奇心旺盛、愛玩又極度親人的貓咪，也被稱為「魔鬼氈貓」，因為牠們會非常依戀飼主，喜歡待在人身邊。因此，若你打算長時間讓孟買貓獨處，建議考慮再養一隻貓陪伴牠。牠們是很棒的家庭寵物，也適合公寓、孩童與年長者。

孟買貓的毛髮短且不太掉毛，只需要少量梳理。不過，若每週至少為你的孟買貓梳毛一次，可讓牠的毛色更加亮麗有光澤。孟買貓通常沒有容易罹患的重大健康問題，但根據 Animal Planet 網站資料，牠們可能會有鼻竇問題和流眼淚的情況。

    We have a Bombay named October/Toby. He is definitely a Velcro kitty and lots of fun. He does have terrible sinuses - we have to get him shots every Spring :( But I'd never be able to get him to wear a sweater.

    PS: let's work to get rid of the superstition about black cats. They're wonderful ! <3
